Child Care

Child care is a very personal decision. In order to help you make the best decision, we want to learn as much as possible about you and your family – what do your children like to do? Read? Do crafts? Play with animals? Do puzzles and play with blocks? What do your children struggle with? Sharing toys? Listening to instructions? Playing alone or with others? Do you think your children need more time playing outdoors? Do you value reading to your children? What are the television rules in your household?

When meeting with our representatives, it is important that you share as much as possible regarding the preferences you have for your family and the person you want to be responsible for your children. Then we can help you find the best childcare provider for your family.

Our nannies/babysitters can be available to take care of your child/children from an infant to any age. They also can provide care for a child who has special needs, recovering from a hospital stay or who is home sick from school. Summer time arrangements can also be made.

To be referred through our agency, nannies/babysitters are thoroughly screened and must meet specific requirements. The minimum requirements for our child care providers include:

  • Minimum of one year of professional experience
  • Completion of CPR and first-aid training
  • Verified references
  • No criminal record

What type of care are you looking for?

A Nanny is responsible for the total well being of the children. A nanny is responsible for all aspects of the day to day care, including cooking, children's laundry, general activities, and the activities of the children. Live-in nannies earn $80-$140 per day; a nanny can also be hired for $10-$15 per hour.

A Mother's Helper works alongside a busy mother, assisting with all the household tasks relating to the children, including meals, laundry, shopping, feeding and bathing children. Live-in Mother's Helpers earn $80-$140 per day. Mother's Helpers can also be hired by the hour at $13 per hour for 8 hours. Hourly fees are higher if workers are hired for less than 8 hours.

Baby-Sitters - A babysitter is responsible for a child or children for a set number of hours. Responsibilities can vary greatly – usually a baby-sitter is needed to take care of children in the family home on weekends or in the evenings. Occasionally a baby-sitter may be asked to provide a meal or drive the children to appointments. Baby-sitters can be hired on the average of $15 per hour for 4 hours. If a baby-sitter is needed less than 4 hours, the fee is slightly higher.
